Hello, friend!

I’m very excited to launch my new (and still developing) website, MarthaFernandezSardina.com with a new blog. (For those of you who would like to catch up and see my archived blog site, you can see it here.)

I am now based again in the greater Washington, D.C. area where I worked for many years, as Acting Continental Director and as Director of the Prayer Campaign of Evangelization 2000, as Director for Evangelization of the Archdiocese of Washington, and as a national new evangelization speaker and trainer.

I look forward to getting settled in and sharing with you from the Nation’s Capital my new plans and projects!

These will include working on the implementation of the goals of the invitation-only event convened by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, The Convocation of Catholic Leaders: The Joy of the Gospel in America held in Orlando, Florida from July 1 to July 4, 2017.
Inspired by the Apostolic Exhortation of Pope Francis, Evangelii Gaudium: The Joy of the Gospel, this unprecedented gathering of key leaders from dioceses and Catholic organizations from all across the country aims at assessing the challenges and the opportunities we face in our time, particularly in the Church in the United States; and at equipping and re-energizing leaders who in turn will equip and energize Catholics throughout the Nation to share the Gospel as missionary disciples “while offering fresh insights informed by new research, communications strategies, and successful models.”

This ongoing initiative of the Bishops' Working Group on the Life and Dignity of the Human Person, with its strategic conversation among Catholic leaders under the leadership of the bishops, I believe will allow us all to better inform, form, and transform Catholics into true missionary disciples, so as “to animate the Church and to engage the culture.” So I pray!

Join the Convocation conversation!

Search for and use the hashtag #CatholicConvo before, during, and beyond the Convocation!

I am excited to continue serving the U.S. Bishops and fellow national, diocesan, and parish leaders as we “duc in altum” – “go into the deep and let down (our) nets for a catch”! (Lk 5:4)

Stay tuned here for regular updates, and do "Subscribe" below (at the bottom right of the site) to my monthly newsletter to get my news highlights and new evangelization inspiration delivered right to your inbox. (Rest assured, I will never share your email! )

Rest assured also that I will do my very best to help form, inform, and transform you and your fellow Catholics so that you too might increasingly become everyday evangelized evangelizers who can ensure the transmission of the Christian Faith – yes, truly missionary disciples who have become joy-filled, love-driven, and truth-bearing prophets to a world in desperate need of Good News!

Until next time, God bless you. And…

Remember You Are Loved!
Martha
